Pickled Eggs by Renee Beddome

• 12 small eggs
• 4 cups white vinegar
• 2 cups water
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 ½ tablespoon pickling spice
• 1 tablespoon J.R. Watkins Garlic Salt
• 5 black peppercorns
• 1 teaspoon J.R. Watkins Black Pepper
• 1 tablespoon J.R. Watkins Onion Powder
• 1 tablespoon J.R. Watkins Garlic Powder
1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, and boil for 10 minutes. Remove eggs from hot water, cool under cold running water, and peel.
2. Bring vinegar, and spices to a boil in a saucepan. Boil for 4 minutes.
3. Place eggs, and bay leaf in a 1-quart mason jar; top with vinegar mixture. Seal jar, and when the jar is cold place in fridge.

*** If you like a more vinegary egg, add less water. If you like a spicy egg, add a few jalapenos and few drops of Franks Red Hot Sauce. Add Dill for a dill type flavored egg.

*** Recipe is also great for pickled sausage.
